The ISX, or Iraqi Stock Exchange, has announced that it will begin trading 5 days a week instead of the 3 days per week that it started out with.
Trading Sessions in ISX
The Board of Governors of the ISX has decided to increase the trading sessions from three days a week to five starting November 1, 2009. Trading days on the ISX will be Sunday to Thursday; the market will be closed Fridays .
The pre-session period will start at 9:30 am. The trading session will be two hours from 10 am to 12.

This change is scheduled to take place on November 1, 2009! With all the rumors out there, this is yet another date that lines up with what many hope will be a big day for the Iraqi people, and also for Investors like myself.

I think this is just another sign that there might be a RV of the Dinar very soon. I also think it might start at about .45 cents.
I think this is very signifcant. Too many trades and not enough days to do them. This reflects the awesome growth to come sooner than we all maybe thought possible!

Iraq is still under chapter 7 and they dont have a recognized currency so until that happens there will not be an RV.

Let’s not forget that there is an election coming up soon that may have an impact on the market (ibx)that will prevent the RV to take place. Politics is still a significant factor in this whole senario. And, those bombings produce a lot of fear in the voters and can really slow down the process for those in authority to decide and confirm the RV. But, I’m still optimistic.

I dont think RV is going to happen any time soon. If political situation stabilizes, it could happen at the end of 2010. Things are going to improve anyway…Time is only the factor…

If the RV does not happen Nov. 1 I am interested in buy more dinar. Where can I get it? I am looking for a reliable source that will not rip me off. I bought mine at the bank which does not sell it anymore.
