Morning all, Adam Montana here again with the latest on the Iraqi Dinar revaluation situation. Over the course of the last 6 years, we’ve seen plenty of important things that will affect the Iraqi currency, and I guarantee you we are in the middle of another very important event that will have a huge impact on the Iraqi Dinar value.
In 2003, Iraq was in chaos. Troops and terrorists were everywhere, bombs going off at all hours and even minutes of the day, and the Iraqi Dinar was at the lowest many of us would ever expect to see it.
By 2005, a rudimentary version of democracy was emerging in Iraq and in December of that year, about 70% of the 15 Million registered voters put their personal safety in danger as they went out to vote… and then walked home with ink stained fingers. The ink stained fingers painted a target on the brave citizens of Iraq who stood up against the terrorists and risked their lives in some cases to be heard. After the 33,000 polling stations had finished taking votes, it was stated that it would be two weeks before results were available.
Want a quick snapshot on how much progress Iraq has made? The 2010 elections ended March 7th, and we’re expecting results within 48 hours of now – that’s a 72 hour turnaround.
By that measurement, you can say Iraq has made a measurable improvement of almost 500% in only 5 years!
The bottom line is this. Iraq is 95% successful at this time of having a successful independent election – by “independent”, I am referring to the fact that they handled it almost entirely on their own. In 2005, the news was full of “American troops stationed here and there to ensure things go smoothly”, and now in 2010 we’re hearing things a bit different. Look at the backgrounds in these videos, and tell me if this looks like a third world country… or a land of hopelessness. Video 1, Video 2, Video 3… you get the point.
Interestingly, Maliki and Allawi are BOTH claiming victory. This is part and parcel of a factor that will either help or hurt the chances of the Iraqi Dinar going places.
We have reason to believe that Maliki could squeak out a win, but he will be a little short of the full support he needs to establish a stable government. Without a stable government, we are still a little short of the finish line.
If, by some chance, Allawi walks away the victor, he appears to have a bit more of the political and religious support needed to swiftly place a strong backbone into the body of the emerging Parliament body.
The key factor in both scenarios is how fast the victor can unite the parties towards a unified goal. It is 100% assured that scandals will emerge, a few more things will get blown up, and we’re going to see some very confusing Iraqi Dinar news in the coming days.
If either Allawi or Maliki is able to make a speech as good as US President Obama, we could see a significant spike in the value of the Iraqi dinar within 48 hours of an official election winner being announced. If we don’t get it in that time frame, I’m guessing we could still be a couple months away.
I just hope there’s no “Hanging Chad” issue here, after all this!

I think we would all like to see the 48 hr deadline met with regards to the rv but it has been my experience that the Iraqi are not quick to do anything..so we shall see.

Although we are all excited and anxiously awaiting a reval, please let us not get so out of pocket that if this doesn’t take place, more of the blame game takes place. Here we are again, waiting for another election, framing a constitution, debt repayment/forgivness, or the success of oil production. Events the lead you to believe we are on the threshold of RV. I’ve been waiting since the very begining and have seen many landmark events. Even though MS Media was ignoring the positives and over reporting the negatives. So now, Adam, will you please remember the issue of removing the three zeros… As I read it, this significantly reduces our quantity. So arn’t we best served to keep this feature in our minds as we consider an international exchange rate. Yes to an increase of our original investment but a strong no in hoping for what now seem very, very unlikely. I say pay off your old car and have a night out, with the friends who know very well, your disappointment.

For several days I have been unable to access dinarvets.com. The messages say “No website can be found” (www.dinarvets.com). I click on the link off of this page. What is happened ?
As far as the dropping of the zeros goes, I’ve read several times that it won’t change the value of the Dinar itself, but will just make it easier for giving change and not having to make the lower sized bills. I don’t fully understand this idea, it’s just what I’ve read.

Shouldn’t the RV occur regardless of the outcome of the election? I understand that the RV date and rate were already established and were being held back from announcement until within 48 hours after the vote counting was completed, which is supposed to be today. Within another 48 hours, or 3/13 was to be the latest date for the announcement, wasn’t it? At this point in time, can you now confirm if that’s still the time phased action plan and are they on schedule?
I want facts not predicting when will it happen!!

Adam, I wish to say that anytime you can make up stories of utopia using resources that you do not own or have to pay back personally this takes the pressure of performance off the speaker and allows for a relaxed attitude and an eazy speaking style. Or he can continue to blame the last president, and who really knows what Grover Cleaveland or any long gone president was doing anyway, as long as you get to keep your 5 million dollar house in Chicago and the people of America keep sending that fat retirement check for the rest of your life. NO Bush, no dinar paycheck you all.
Remember if a the Iraqi Currency goes convertible then its open market and many many banks will handle all needs but also remember that there are also smarter ways to convert.
Walking into your neighborhood bank with a suitcase of dinar will only get you questions that only you can answer.
Like What the heck is this stuff? Are you sure its a currency that is traded? Where did you get it?
So go to a large bank like Citi-Bank and Bank of America and a large city location to exchange.
Remember that also NO BODY knows a thing about anything right now. All are guessing. All info is trickled out of websites and articles without stating names, places or actual events.
Reuters has a article this very blank and vague and don’t read into it cause its not fact and the fat lady (CBI) isn’t confirming anything thus NOBODY knows.
People claim to have inside information but I say “PROVE IT”.
Everyone has been saying 48 more hours or next month but that same song and dance has occurred for over 5 years now. Don’t buy it just know its all a twist to make money.
