Iraq Dinar Speculation

Thank you Adam….this news certainly adds to the exitcement and anticipation of the RV…..I will openly admit that I’m not an investor, but rather an exec with an Engineering/Program Management company, so please don’t laugh when I ask this question….what does your friend mean by not taking a lower rate, if given the opportunity to reinvest with guarantees on their investment?? Does this mean that we need to sit tight for awhile and not convert?? How long is awhile??? If my holdings are all in 25K IQD notes, do I stand a chance of it being rendered void at some point due to the redomination initiative? Thank again Adam….you’re doing a GREAT job here…..

I realize a RV is coming. The question is will the Dinar go up and down like other world currencies once the FIXED RV is removed?

If the answer is “Yes” then it would make sense to hold our Dinar and wait for them to gain value as time goes by.

Adam, I’m sure this is a ridiculous question …. but….

How does Iraq benefit when we dinar holders who may never spend the dinars in Iraq, sell them back to bank or trader?
1. Iraq has already benefited from the sell of dinars at low price.
2. that’s like selling someone a consumable if you can re-use it.
3. if we sell our dinars back at higher exchange and we make money … doesn’t Iraq actually lose money?

Guess the more I think of this, I obviously don’t understand currency exchange … I understand how it help me to have the dinar RV’d, IF I can resell it .. so … is it that Iraq buys back as they can only “print” so much, so they get it back and re-sell for even higher amount?
Hope you can decipher a question in there somewhere …

Let me try to clarify the legal portion of it.

If you’ve been following me for long, you know I went to Dubai to meet up with this guy a few months back. He mentioned at the time that he may have some ideas for foreign investors like myself to reinvest in Iraq after making a profit on the Iraqi dinar.

I told him that I would of course be open to this, as long as I had chance to get proper legal counsel and the idea made sense.

Friends, at this moment it is still “rumor”, or at best “news in progress”, because we have not been told we can cash in yet. However! This is the best news I’ve heard in a long time, and I’m excited!

The fact is I believe he is reaching out now that we are extremely close to an RV because he has motivations of his own politically. The DinarSpeculation.com and DinarVets.com group is very large and I would guess holds somewhere in the neighborhood of FIFTEEN BILLION Dinar… so OF COURSE they will negotiate with us. There is NO bigger group out there.

Brad and DocG, After being in Iraq for a while the email made perfect sence to me. The people of Iraq take great pride in what they do and will take the time to word things so that we can understand what they are trying to say. DocG there were times when I would talk to a person and they would write down what they were trying to say. Even though the person I was talking to could not speak english very well, they were able to write it. It would still be broken english, but the point was made.
Iraq has made great strides in making the country a better place for all who live there. During my time in Iraq it did not seem as if much had happened to better the country, but the fact is alot happened. When I first arived in Iraq nobody had cell phones, air conditioners, or in most cases running water. Women were not even aloud to go to school after a certain grade. All these things changed in less than a year of my time in Iraq during 2003-2004. So if you ask some soldiers if we are making a differance over there, they answer might be ” NO! ” If the answer is no ask them if they ever got to call home and ask the question. What is going on has anything happened around there back home???? and t

the answer they might have gotten was ” No. Nothing is going on here or changed.” Then after the soldier returns home it seems as if the world has changed. New resturants, homes, people moved away ect. I guess what I am trying to say is that small changes go unnoticed until one day you turn around and those small changes… Change your world.

Why does this sound like a push to sell dinar? I’m not saying you aren’t who you say you are Montana, but how ofen do you recieve this information? It seems to me like alot. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the revalue to happen, I’ve invested like everybody else on this page, but coming out and saying there is going to be a revalue by Today, Sunday???? Come on man. You have some inside info? I’m not denying that you have some kind of info, but it just seems to me that you “cry revalue” too often. In hopes of seeing more profits from Iraqi Dinar sales possibly?? does anyone know if Iraq has a payment due with the World Bank on Mon March 15th that has to be paid back with dinars. Also what about the IMF payment that is due in April. My understanding is that they cannot pay back with gold or us dollars in reserves to back future rv. Is this true or is this a bunch of rumors

adam , i just read a email from ICB stating that the 25000 dinar will be rebased to iqd 25Separately, the bank’s senior advisor Mudher Qasim told Dow Jones Newswires that knocking off the three zeroes would improve the value of the Iraqi dinar which is trading
Monday IQD1,170 against one US dollar.

If the rebase decision is taken it means a current 25,000 Iraqi dinar banknote will become IQD25, and a dollar will equal only 1.17 dinars.
The bank said that knocking off three zeroes from the dinar would “improve management of the currency
and facilitate cash dealing.” The decision was the result of debate with the economic commission at the Iraqi cabinet, it added. is the value of our 25000 notes only going to be worth 25 dinar? please explain thank you

I appreciate any news, rumors, etc. I’ve been riding this ride for about 6 years and believe that the dinar will eventually revalue. I expect there will be a decent return on our investment, even it we don’t become millionaires.

Larry: The intent is to issue smaller denominations to facilitate commerce within Iraq. Those denominations are supposed to come out later this year. But that has no affect on denominations outside Iraq held by, for example, us.

Adam, we’re sitting here in limbo waiting for some reply from you as to what your contact is saying lately. Last I heard was that something was going to be announced on Sunday. That came and went. I then heard that your contact said that something got delayed. But I haven’t heard anything since. What’s the latest? I’m not in a huge rush, I just got into the Dinar investment in November 2009 and cannot figure out how all of those folks that have been in it for several years can sleep at night with all the speculation flying around. From what I’ve seen, we’ve been within 37 minutes of an RI or RV for the past 5 years. Everybody has a theory that proves the RV will happen tomorrow, but they’ve been saying that for the past 4 years. It must make you guys crazy.. Oh well, I’ll just be happy as a clam WHEN it happens. Adam, putting your name as Curtis and writing something to make yourslef look good is rediculous. Just be honest with us all please….there isn’t going to be a revalue anytime this month atleast….I would year, but you might have a heart attack when faced with reality. Attention, People who live in the real world….the revaluation will not happen atleast for 2 more years, 2010 is too soon. We haven’t even pulled out oer troops.

Well I would think that no one is right in this. I dont think I have ever heard Adam tell of a revalue, and ALWAYS warns of speculation. I think no is can any better tell of a revalue as they could say that it AT LEAST a year or 2 away… You dont know that, I dont know that, Joe Happy dont know that. It happens when it happens, Im not sitting waiting for insider info, which is one of the reasons I like this site and DinarVets, we go into it know its all speculation, but it keeps us excited and intested in our investment.

They can’t afford to wait 2 years. They have signed agreements with the IMF, the
World Bank, not to mention the Oil co’s. I don’t think they are going to wait around for another year or 2. Iraq has to have a revalued currency because at the value now they can do business with these guys. The audits that were done have proven that the IRQ is way undervalued and has to rv. Otherwise the IMF,World Bank, and oil co’s just to name a few wouldn’t be wasting there time or money. No way they can afford to wait that long and no way the US would pull soldiers out at such a critical time for the future of the Iraqi people.
Also, have you not heard about the new port and the railway system they are presently taking bids for. they can’t do these things and rebuild an entire country with the dinar at it’s present value. Just doesn’t work. No one would even consider doing business there.
So for those of you who are excited about you investment; hang on, because things are happening sooner than most think.
Remember what I’m saying. When the info is most negative and when they act like there is no way the dinar is going to rv, that’s when it will.

thank you for that news…that is probably the most factual based speculation I’ve heard. It reminds me why I invested in the currency. I don’t mean to be negative, but I don’t like hearing,”oh, I just talked to my insider and he said there will be a possibe rate change by sunday” I mean, that is just rediculous. I do believe the Dinar will revalue, just like you, just not as soon….and you’re right, it will happen when no one expects it.

PS. I had no idea about the railway….makes it even more interesting.

Confirmation today on the agreement signed with the IMF. I saw a copy of the documents from the IMF and it showed Iraq and the amount that was loaned and the date it was signed along with the percentage of budgeted funds that were already received by Iraq. March 8th 2010 was the date and it was stated that the first payment had to be within 60 days. so may 8th looks like a possible date. This seems like a reasonable date, with all that is going on. Spoke with a friend who was in Iraq in the marines and he said you would not believe the amount of construction going on. The dinar has to rv soon. I think the question now is at what amount. Understand when it goes on the forex it may open low, fluctuate some and then settle on an amount that is balanced with the present and future value of their economy.

In your opinion, based on other currencies, what is the time frame from opening revalue to settling?

Adam I just got in and on this site and it is all exciting to listen too the pros and cons. I can’t understand how the exchange can happen like they are predicting? If they are broke now and the Dinar re-evaluates where does all the money come from to pay us? If for instance it goes to a dollar my 2 million Dinar becomes 2 million US money? I don’t get it.

the IMF sent auditors into Iraq. They look at all resources: oil, natural gas, gold, etc. They also look at oil company contracts that have recently been renewed as well as other industry that is interested in conducting business there. By the way there are many who want to do business there, and many are already there. They then come up with a value of present and future earnings as a whole. The IQD is extremely undervalued and has to be revalued in order for Iraq to conduct business and get on with the rebuilding of their country. the IMF wouldn’t be wasting their time if there was no value and their loan could not be repaid. They are simply plugging the dinar back in the system where it is balanced with the economic potential of the country. Iraq is predicted to be one of the largest exporters of oil in the world. Equal and possibly greater than Saudi and Kuwait. So don’t worry about where the money will come from, believe me it’s there. The US, China, and Germany are the largest holders of dinar and they have agreed to return the currency back to Iraq in increments as to not cause an inflation. Wherever you by your dinar that country will pay you for them. They or brokers then trade them or sell back to iraq at some incremented time as discussed above. Believe me they don’t mind waiting , they make money when the sell it to you and then again when they return it. The US will exchange it back to buy oil at a discounted rate. The whole thing is set up where everyone wins or it would fall and apart and never happen. That is why it take so much time and coordination until it happens. But don’t worry, it is going to happen. Once they signed agreement with the IMF and took the first dollar, there was no looking back. So be patient and when it looks like the news is bad and they say it won’t be rving, thats when it will.

I trade in the Forex currency market almost everyday, and once the Iraqi Dinar is put in, and if it has a high yielding interest rate it will do good against the USD (dollar) and the japan JPY (yen) and other basket of currencies. bottom line is once its there in the market thats when you’ll see your greatest return in your dinar.

To answer your question jimmy I have seen currencies rally 2000 pips in 2 months. example just last year in december 2009 the EUR/USD (the MOST traded currency pair fell over 1000 pips (pips means point or dollars ) in two months from 1.5510 to 1.3545 now in march. Thats a very short time with a lot of volatility. My guess the Iraqi Dinar will be extremely over bought, and will spike, then retrace in order to correct. Then trend upward.
