Could it be over? Reports are coming out…

Adam Montana

and they are announcing Allawi the winner by TWO SEATS.

Now he needs to form a government, and nothing needs to tip this card-house over!

Former premier Iyad Allawi’s secular Iraqiya bloc won the most seats in Iraq’s March 7 parliamentary election, two more than incumbent Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki’s bloc, official results showed Friday.

Iraqiya won 91 seats in the 325-member Council of Representatives, compared to the 89 won by the State of Law Alliance led by Maliki, a fellow Shiite, election officials said.

The Iraqi National Alliance, a coalition led by Shiite religious groups, came third with 70 seats. Kurdistania, comprised of the autonomous Kurdish region’s two long-dominant blocs, won 43 seats.

Allawi’s victory in the March 7 poll signals he will be given the first opportunity to form a government, which would require a coalition holding at least a majority of 163 seats.

If he fails to do so within 30 days, Iraq’s president, who himself is elected by parliament, would choose the leader of another bloc to try to form a coalition government.

And once again, we wait.

HOWEVER… “URGENT / State of Law to form govt., election results not final – Maliki”

Well… I’m not a politician, but while they scratch each other, the CBI should revalue the Dinar… it will benefit every one in and out of Iraq, and their people will focus in their new found wealth instead of more violence and politics.

Will you address your contacts rate information? Did that ever come to pass and if not, any reason why?

March 26, 2010

jpmoneypants lol! Great name :)

Regarding the rate, we’re still waiting – it hasn’t RV’d yet.

So, is Allawi’s victory good for the Dinar? I understand he is apart of the Secular party, which I would assume is good, because they won’t bring religion into the decision making, which usually slows things down because of disputes and what not. I also understand that Allawi wants to work with al parties to negotiate a proper government. Seems like this guy is the man for the job, but back to my question. Is Allawoi good for the Dinar? Anybody know the scoop? and what he plans to do?

ps. please no responses like “my inside guy says, “Allawi will revaluate the dinar tomorrow!”

ADAM…….Or anyone…Should I get a bank account in Iraq??? Is this a must? What are the benefits??

March 27, 2010

End of this week? I don’t think so. It’s possible, but they need time to form alliances and finalize agreements behind closed doors before it happens.

I wish it was tomorrow, but we’re just going to have to be patient for a LITTLE longer!

The Dinar has to hit the world market before a bank in the states will start trading it. If and when the RV hits, you will have to sit back and keep in touch with some of the leading banks in your area to see when they start trading the currency. Making a call on which bank or banks that would be at this point, would be a shot in the dark.
If this does happen, I think you will have options to which banks you use, so shop around and take your time. Make sure you get the best rate that you can.

Adam, I keep hearing that an RV must be agreed to before April 1st. Is this true? Also, after they agree to it how long do you predict until it actually happens? I am hoping you and your contact may have an estimate or hunch.

Adam,
Thanks for the response. The question was in reference to the post titled “I received a fantastic email this morning”. I understand there hasn’t been a revalue. I would hate to think you were throwing up smoke and mirrors to hype up the crowd. No accusations, just wondering.

Jimmy said:

A LITTLE longer = at least 2 more years. I’m just keeping it honest around here.

Hanafiah, who the Fu#% told you it would revalue at the end of the week?…I would burn that bridge.

Digiguy, the end of march is in 2 days….what do you think?

Matthew said:

Jimmy I do not thing it will be 2yrs big man. I am thinking more along the lines of 6 months. Too much at stake for Iraq to wait 2yrs for the RV to occur.

It is funny to see all of us anxious for the RV to come out. We have been waiting for this moment for the last 6 years or so and all over sudden we can’t wait until tomorrow. Lets be calm and it would be wise to wait a little before we cash out. Be smart and remember that when you go to a bank to exchange your Dinars we are going to have to fill a paper work with your SS# on it and it will be sent to the IRS. Don’t think that they never heard of it. I am sure that they are waiting for all of us. Is the RV out yet? LOL
