Good morning and good day, Iraqi Dinar Investors!
I’m going to wrap this article up very quickly. The elections have taken precedence over everything, and other than the people who insist on making up fake “$3 tomorrow RV!” news… there isn’t anything huge going on right now, and probably not for the rest of the week at least. (If you like those kind of stories, they are out there. Just because it sounds good doesn’t mean it’s true! 
)
You know you can count on me to get the hot news to you, and you can also count on me to let you know when to just relax and be patient – that time is now.
It has sure been an exciting couple of weeks, hey? The elections seem to be successful, in spite of the accusations and feet stomping. It has came to light that several days before the elections, it was ruled that no recounts would be taken… basically rendering the cries of foul play moot. I call this good news. Business is booming in Iraq: the Governor of Basra met with the Turkish consul to discuss investment opportunities. Shell (Shell Oil Company) is discussing moving forward in Iraq. Agriculture is being discussed in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. Up to 240 Iraqi Industrial firms are potentially opening up for foreign investors. I made a guess several weeks ago that we were around 110 days from seeing an RV, and I stand by that date.
This is a GOOD thing, because it gives us time to get our ducks in a row! Many of you are new to the investment, and you have no idea how to protect your investments. You have no idea how to diversify your investments. You have no clue where to begin even understanding your investments.
According to my analysis, you have about 70 days to get those ducks in a row.

I am nothing more than a union electrician. I only like to read when it benefits me. However Adam recieved a letter from his friend in Iraq dated 3-16-2010, who confirmed one thing for sure; those in government cannot even agree what color the chairs should be. He also mentioned a ten day waiting period before he knew anything for sure, well those ten days have come and gone still no word from Adam’s man inside. However the rebase was spoken of at the same time of the NEW DINAR exchange.The government just did not know when they were going to implement it, the revaluation is just a smoke screen. We just might be waiting for another 5 to 6 years. So that means your 1,000,000.00 dinars will now become 1,000.00 dinar. So jump out there and get your self another 10 million. No one is going to make any significant profit except those who sell the dinar and those who already have 1 billion dinar. The rebase was in the works years ago according to the Iraq-businessnews.com that I read last wednesday march 24,2010. So look on the bright side,buy a million today at 1040.00 and then sell it after the rebase for .?? to the dinar 5 to 6 years from now. Unless you are already extremly rich working class people who really could use a RV, just won’t see that kind of money. The rich get richer and the poor get worse. Personally I do hope for the best but always prepare for the worst.

Adam…..Thanks is about the best way to sum up your input/updates. I’m one of those “investment challenged” who will be seeking guidance at some point, post-RV. It’s the “post-RV” piece that keeps us all lathered up, as we say down in Texas….Your prognostication for ~70 days provides continued hope that the RV is still alive, but can you expound on whether or not that time frame is worst case scenario? There seems to have been a great deal of positive progress made since early 2010, and I see now that BP has been awarded a $500M contract to drill in the Basra region. So much good news, and yet the hesitation in declaring a solvent, monetary benchmark….My apologies, I’m just eager, as everyone here is, to crasp onto hope, but hope that’s supported by logic and facts. Keep up the good work.

Once the Dinar RV what would the tax rate be or is there a way around this?

I recently read something on Dinarvets that talked about a period of time coming soon that you will have to trade in your large notes for the new smaller denomination. How does that work? Do we simply make that swap with the place that we bought them at or what and is that a charge to us to do that. Also, I really don’t understand why they want us to exchange the big bills for small bills. Can you explain?

hi adam i’m a canadian citizen and i have about 1.8million dinars in 1000 dinar notes i would like to get your advice on how to diversify and would like to know how to get those ducks in a row.it would be greatly appreciated with your advice as how to move forward before the big day is here.ps i do not know what country you are from so i’m just wondering about the taxes and stuff so it might be a little different if your from a different country thanks hope to hear from you soon all the best to you.

What’s Ahead for the Iraqi Dinar?
It’s generally accepted internationally that the elections in Iraq were, in the main, free and fair, but former prime minister Ayad Allawi’s narrow margin of victory means the results will be challenged.
Prime Minister Nouri al- Maliki’s Shiite Muslim State of Law alliance filed a complaint on Tuesday with the Supreme Court, asking for a recount in several areas. When the dust settles, the Sadrist Iraqi National Alliance (INA) could be the kingmaker, having secured a strong third place.
Meanwhile, plans to re-base the Iraqi currency, the dinar, appear to be going ahead, but the exact timing of the change is still to be decided. The new dinar will be worth one thousand times the old one, which will help facilitate trade and foreign exchange, but will be otherwise neutral in terms of valuation.
While the local currency has gained in value in recent years, the planned increase in petroleum production, and the expected boom that this will create in the domestic economy, have led many to speculate that the dinar will continue to strengthen.
The dinar is already becoming more acceptable and credible as a means of exchange; mobile phone operator Asiacell just announced that it will change its tariffs and billing from dollars to dinars. And as AAIB’s Rob Edwards reports, his company will write insurance policies in either currency.

Interesting…makes sense…wonder if it’s a smokescreen or will the rv be closer to 200% or 300% if rebase comes first
Just a quick note to all you non-believers, and/or negative rv mood killers; this is going to happen between now and the end of this year. If you want a key indicator to back up this statement, you can go look at http://www.xe.com, then when you check out the current rates on the IQD versus the USD, it tells you in bold red lettering that the rd will happen by the end of this year. It should say RV or RI but it plainly states that this will be done before the end of this year. Hopefuuly sooner than later! Just wanted to put some minds at ease , so that you know you did make a wise investment !
