Kirkuk, April 20 (AKnews) – The Iraqi oil ministry finally decided to set up an oil refinery in Kirkuk province that could refine 150 thousand barrels of oil per day, a relevant source announced.

“The Ministry approved establishing that plant on the demands of Kirkuk governorate”, member of oil watchdog office in Kirkuk province Fu’ad K. Hussein said.

“The Ministry would intend to establish that project at Tuzkhurmatu district to trigger compilations in the area, but the officials of the province didn’t allow that to happen since Tuzkhurmatu is belonging to Salahaddin province where there are other refineries”, Hussein added.

A contract comprising 123 million Iraqi Dinars has been signed with the American Shoe Company to establish a refinery between Kirkuk city and Doubz town.

Finally, Hussein said, “it is for three years the Iraqi Oil Minster has been deferring the project unjustifiably”.

Adam…ditto what Desert Medic posted, with the added frustrating point of hearing so much speculative talk elsewhare, and yet I’ve maintained allegiance to this site….and for what…no News Updates…other than wait another 10 days….or 70 days…or ??? Chris Abbub’s message says something to the effect of wanting to buy like $10-million worth of dinar. I did a Google translate and that’s what I came up with.

People have been buying dinar for 10+ years and waiting for the next “10 days” or this Monday…..What people need to realize is that no one really knows when the dinar will RV and people just need to be patient. If you went into this intending to be a millionaire tomorrow, as many did, I am sorry to say but put the dinar in a safe for your grandkids. I am not saying that it is not going to happen but my father bought into this over 2 years ago when it was going to go through that Monday….he too is still waiting.
