Well, this is strange. No reason given, just a cancellation of T-Bills auction.

NOTICE: The CBI has decided to cancel the T . Bills No. (9) dd.9.6.2010.
Don’t count any chickens yet, but I AM interested to see where this leads. An explanation would be nice, at least!
On the political front, we’re expecting Allawi to make some headway with forming his Iraqi FCC (Future Corruption Committee. Yes, I just made that up.)… whoops! I mean government. Allawi is going to be forming his government. I’m really not sure why the word “corruption” got mixed up with Iraqi politics, I do apologize for that little mistake.

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Al-Iraqiya Bloc, as election winner, has the right to form the new Iraqi government; President Massoud Barzani of the Iraqi Kurdistan told the Turkish TV station TRT6.
Also of note, IRaq plans to quadruple their oil production by 2017, with some major movement coming within the next few years.

Iraq says its oil supply will help stabilize priceKUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Iraqi’s oil minister said Monday an expected surge in his country’s oil supply over the next few years will provide a “safety valve” to stabilize volatile oil prices.
Hussain al-Shahristani said Iraq’s oil production capacity is expected to more than quadruple to 12 million barrels a day by 2017 with up to a dozen deals with international oil companies awarded in recent years.

That’s good news on the oil front–that would mean Iraq would be pumping as much as Saudi Arabia is now pumping–and if you figure that Saudi is probably maxed now and their wells to b going down hill then that puts Iraq in the drivers seat…if only violence can be controlled, this investment is going to pay off handsomely at some point.

We call it corruption in Iraqi politics and a lack of secruity ability on their part. What should we call these things in American politics and the violence that surfaces at times in the good old U.S.A. Just Wondering?
Can you tell me what a T-Bill auction is, and why this might be significant? I’m sorry – I’m learning so much new vocabulary and it’s already like a crash course in economics and politics…

Treasury Bills are sold to boost the banks liquidity. They don’t cancel auctions very often, it’s like closing the doors on your business with no reason given. “Sorry, we’re just not open today and we don’t want your money today, either.”

am curious where, when the RV takes place, can I cash in? No bank here where I live deals with IQD’s or even knows what a De La Rue mach is. Someone said maybe a bank in CA or CGO. Mary West, the dinar is currently an ignored currency at most of our banks – when the value changes, as in when it RVs or rises in value, I have no doubt that all banks will change that policy and begin taking Dinars.
so does this canceling of t- bills afect us in any way.

This is not a request for what to invest in but what is available.
I have my 6 and 63 licenses (do not need the 65).

Are the dinars a good investment? I have heard so many things both ways about it I am so confused. Does anyone hear sell dinar on ebay? Can anyone sell dinar and is it legal to sell it?

Someone is selling almost 4.5 million dinar on ebay, just if anyone was interested. I bidded on it but it has a reserve on it.
Does anyone know the withdrawal policy with Warka Bank? Can you transfer your account balance from Warka once the rv takes place?
peg, Warka only allows you to withdraw 10k a day.
Thanks Adam for that information. I am now ready to open an account with Warka Bank. I was even thinking of putting the funds into a cd. I hope that the rv happens before the end of the year.
