Warka
There are three options to invest in the Iraqi Dinar – Cash Dinar (NID, or New Iraqi Dinar), the ISX (Iraqi Stock Exchange), and having an Iraqi Savings Account (the easiest we have found is Warka Bank). This page will talk about opening a Warka Account.
Option 1: Apply for Warka Account at Warka website.
At the current time it is possible to simply apply online and then wire funds into your account. To apply online, you will need a digital copy (JPEG or PDF) of your passport or government ID. You will also need to Type your address on a text or word file to upoad with your application. Click here to apply online for an account at Warka Bank.
Option 2: Email Warka Bank with appropriate documents.
Compose an email to IFRD@Warka-Bank-Iq.com with the following text:
I would like to open a USD and IQD account with Warka Investment Bank. I am attaching a copy of my ID and the required Authorization Letter.
Thank you,
(your name)
Attach the following items to your email:
- This completed Authorization Form
- A digital (JPEG or PDF) copy of your government approved ID.
Last step – get funds in your Warka Account.
Finally, you will need to fund your account in order to invest in Iraqi Dinar (Savings or ISX or both). Once you have your accounts open at Warka, you can fund them by wiring from your bank to:

Beneficiary name and Account Number:
(Your Name)
(your IQD Savings number)
(It would obviously be advisable to email Warka to verify that the information has not changed.)
Word of advice: The minimum balances are $150US plus 300,000 IQD. At current rates (1170 Iraqi Dinar per $1 USD) you will need to send about $425, plus whatever you want to use to buy stocks with.

I am interested in opening an account, Savings and possibly a checking account. I am looking forward to getting my ISX trading number through another broker at this time, Now a friend has told me to trade with your bank! I already sent my applications and copies of my passport to Al Jazeera to get my #!!

Did they stop the online application? because i went through three different links on different websites and they all did not go through. then i went to the warka bank site and could not find the link to apply.

I do not have a passport, do I really need one, cant I just use my OHIO ID.
Anyone went send money to war ka bank and they say send through German bank. My bank says need routing numbers for warka bank. So German bank will know we’re to send. No reply from warka. Any advice. Thanks capt. Britt

We know that citibank is now out of the picture, please send the specifics for the new alternative to wiring money to warka. Is it the German bank or is there another entity that we can use.
